Aldon Nielsen holds the Fletcher Jones Chair of Literature and Writing at Loyola Marymount University. His works include Reading Race: White American Poets and the Racial Discourse in the 20th Century; C.L.R. James: A Critical Introduction; Writing Between the Lines: Race and Intertextuality; and Black Chant: Languages of African-American Postmodernism. He is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Kayden Award for Criticism.
