Juliana Spahr, like Susan Gevirtz, is one of the best new writers around, and Small Press Traffic is proud to present her first appearance on the West Coast. She is the author of the chapbooks Nuclear and Testimony. Her award-winning book Response is forthcoming from Sun & Moon. Besides her poetry, Spahr's influence can be traced to her teaching, her criticism, her editorial work-she has had a hand in, among others, Leave Books, the journal Chain, and the anthologies A Poetics of Criticism and Writing from the New Coast. A graduate of SUNY-Buffalo, she currently lives and teaches in Albany (NY).
