Johanna
Drucker
Johanna Drucker returns to the Bay Area where she began printing and publishing
creative work in the early 1970s. She has produced more than two dozen books,
many using experimental typography, through her own press (Druckwerk), as
well as with other publishers. Current titles include Simulant Portrait
(Pyramid Atlantic, 1991), Dark Decade (Detour Press, 1995), Otherspace:
Martian Ty/opography (Nexus, 1993), and Narratology (1994). She is Associate
Professor in the History of Art Department at Yale University; in Fall 1998
she will join the faculty at SUNY Purchase as Director of Master's Program
in 20th Century Art and Critical Studies.
