Robert Glück is the author of several books of poetry, including Reader; a book of stories, Elements of a Coffee Service; and two
celebrated novels, Jack the Modernist and Margery Kempe. When one tries to describe Glück's lapidary, sexy, smart hyperfictions,
one finds oneself overcome by a strange Tourette's Syndrome of superlatives. "Brilliant-squawk! Superb-squawk! A beloved teacher and friend-awk! Top ten postmodern writer-squawk!" Longtime board member of Small Press Traffic, Glück was one of its founders way back in the mid seventies, and the former director of the Poetry Center at San Francisco State.
