Sarah Mangold

Winner of the 2001 New Issues Poetry Prize, Sarah Mangold’s first book Household Mechanics is, "... a disquieting review of indirect disclosures, internal churnings, and palpable notions, subjected to a tense and skeletal language" (C.D. Wright). Born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Oklahoma, Mangold studied at San Francisco State. She is also the author of a chapbook, Blood Substitutes (Potes & Poets, 1998), and the editor of the Seattle-based magazine Bird Dog.
